Alvin Dive Log Database

WHOI operates the US Navy-owned Deep Submergence Vehicle Alvin as a national oceanographic facility. Since June 1964, Alvin has made over 4,000 dives, going as deep as 4,500 meters. This database contains information about all of Alvin’s dives, including date, time, length and depth of dive, personnel involved, purpose, location, observations, samples and media from the dive. The main database page lists a series of “views” or organizational arrangements of the dives in the database. Click on the view which best suits your needs or click on any one of them to find a search box.
