Dot III 1944-1945 Chartered from Horatio D. Smith, the 64' long vessel was used in underwater explosives research.

Gay Song 1957 The 34' vessel was built in 1946 by Seabrook Shipyard, designed by Henry A. Scheel. A contibution from Samuel A. Peck later sold to a private owner.
Half Moon 1963 A 39.9' sport fishing boat donated by Mr. Gwynne and later sold to a private owner.
Hammond Launch 1956-1962
Hazel III 1951-1953 Chartered from Robert Hempstead, a 40' work launch.
Irmay 1949-? Previously named Imelda, used as a charter boat in Greece
Junior 1943 Leased, for six months, from Herbert E. Mayhew.
March Fox II 1969 Thomas R. Nelson contributed this 37' gas screw motorboat to WHOI in 1969. The boat was sold in 1970.
Merganser 1960-1963 An 18' Cape Cod knockabout donated by Walter E. Garrey, a WHOI Associate. WHOI presented the vessel to the Woods Hole Yacht Club for sailing classes.
Monkey 1968-1969 Donated by C. Snowden Richards, the convertible sedan cruiser was later sold to a private owner. Built in 1957 the vessel was 42' in length.

1966 Chartered from the vessel's owner Captain Jack Jacobson in 1966.
Nobska 1962-1979 Built in 1956 by Erford Burt, the 26' vessel was sold to a local owner.
Northern Light 1974 Chartered for observations, acoustic studies and photographint whales and porpoises between Cape Cod and Sable Island.
Rara Avis 1960-1961 Donated by Captain Paul Hammond.
Seriola 1963 Owned by Frank Mather
Sigma T 1959-1960 Donated by Robert D. Harrington and sold to a local owner. Built in 1953 by Egg Harbor Boat Co. the vessel was 29'5" long.
Subsig II
June 1976 Leased from the Raytheon Corp. during June 1976 to escort R/V Lulu and to aid in the collection of specimens and to provide deep lowering of sampling equipment.
